WARNING:
Buildering is potentially Dangerous and possibly Illegal!
This site is NOT intended as instruction on how to climb, and should not be considered as such. When you climb you CLIMB AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!. Please heed any warnings or traspassing signs, ask for permission, and be careful.
Now that we are past the legal mumbo jumbo welcome to the world of desperate climbers. This section is dedicated to "alternative rock sources", by this we don't mean cool radio stations accross the country.
Bouldering To climb low enough to the ground to avoid serious injury, and with out a rope. Climbing a boulder. Usually more strenuous moves in a shorter distance.
Being from Lower Michigan, us local flatlanders have become a bit restless, since there is only ONE natural climbing area (Grand Ledge). Our search for climbable rock has focused towards the obvious...Buildings! Simply put this section will detail some possible buildings and other man made structures to climb (see warning above). Ever since I began climbing I have been looking at buildings with dreams of grandure... picking out lines for possible first ascents. I have even gone as far as to glue stones and holds to an overpass so I could have my own little circit of classics...sad really! As sad as I my actions seem I did manage to stumble onto a few notable structres, for fun and training. I hope I am not the only climber who has sought out alternative means to rock faces, if you have any info to share please send it to us. We will add your information to this page for everyone to share.
As always you suggestions, ideas, or comments are welcome. Please e-mail us. Include as much detail as possible so we can give the proper credit.
