Beam Rock
Me playing on some of the many overhanging faces of Morrison.

Introduction:
Morrison has some really fun and horizontal bouldering located right above the small town. As for easy close locations this place wins hands down.I discouver this place on my first solo trip to Colorado with the help of my John Sherman book and some local guidebooks. After seeing other climbers park in the quaint downtown of Morrison and head then hike out of town (towards the highway) I looked up and quickly realized there must be something worth the short steep hike.
Once you hike up there you'll find a lot of overhaging faces with some great views of the town below and well shadded problems. As you can tell from the photo there are a lot of different lines and options for playing around. A great place to hag out with a few fiends and boulder for the day. When your done you can either hit the little town for some food or your pretty close to Denver or Golden as well.
